About Apex

Built for the Flight Line.
Not the Boardroom.

Our Story

Apex Ops Desk was built to give local flight schools the enterprise-grade tools they need to protect their margins, eliminate compliance risks, and stay fiercely competitive against the massive flight academies. After a decade in the aviation industry, the disconnect became obvious. We saw incredible mom-and-pop operators relying on highly skilled pilots and mechanics, but forcing them to manage operations on chaotic whiteboards, sticky notes, and paper binders. This manual tracking was leading to grounded planes, compliance nightmares, and burned-out CFIs.

We aren't a "set it and forget it" software vendor. We are a hands-on operational partner. We believe that if you run a local flight school, your technology should work as hard as your planes do.

Chris Peters

Founder

Chris brings over 12 years of hands-on aviation experience to Apex. He spent five years in the United States Marine Corps as a V-22 airframe mechanic and Aerial Observer. Flying on multiple deployments around the world, he learned the absolute necessity of operating with clear, bulletproof processes and procedures.

After the Marine Corps, Chris worked directly with small operators to manage and streamline their flight lines, developing a deep respect for the incredible small business owners keeping grassroots aviation alive.

Today, working in experimental operations on the AW-609, Chris sees the critical gap between high-budget military or corporate flight departments and the local flight school owner who has to make every single dollar count. He built Apex to give Part 61 and 141 operators exactly what they deserve: the same level of digital accountability and operational efficiency used in military and experimental flight test environments.
